BEEF CASSEROLE

Ingredients

  • 600g steaks, cubed
  • 2 onions sliced
  • 1 red pepper, deseeded and chopped
  • 1 green pepper, deseeded and chopped
  • 5 tomatoes, peeled and chopped
  • 2 Tbsp plain flour
  • ¼ tsp mustard powder
  • 1 ½ tsp Leena Beef Masala
  • 1 tsp paprika powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 Tbsp oil
  • 600 ml beef stock
  • 2 Tbsp sour cream
  • 1 Tbsp parsley, chopped

Method

  • Mix together flour, mustard, paprika, beef masala, salt and pepper
  • Mix meat cubes with above mixture
  • Heat oil in a saucepan on medium heat.
  • Cook meat for 5 to 10 minutes until brown on all sides
  • Transfer to a casserole
  • In the remaining oil fry onions, garlic and pepper for 5 minutes until soft
  • Add to the casserole with beef stock and tomatoes. Mix well.
  • Cover the casserole with a lid and cook in oven at 180c for 2 hours or until the meat is tender
  • Pour sour cream and garnish with parsley
